Must have a BSEE Degree, PE is preferred. This person must enjoy being a hands-on, technical design Engineer. This person will mentor younger Engineers in the Department and also will travel when necessary to jobsites to deal with clients and the internal personnel in the field. This person will be a Sr. Member of the Dept. Person needs to have a minimum of 10-20 years of experience in designing projects electrically. Must have Commercial Office Buildings Design Experience, any Hospital Experience is a plus. Will be responsible for the entire project electrically and will act as a Project Manager on Projects. Must be capable of doing short circuit analysis, coordination studies, writing specifications, analyzing problems and writing reports when necessary. Must have a basic knowledge of engineering economics, able to write effectively, and communicate with utility companies, Architects and Engineers. Design experience should be predominant in the commercial and institutional areas. Must be able to interact well with others and be capable of supervising Designers and Drafters. We are currently an Autocad Environment converting to Revit CAD and BIM. Autocad, Revit, AGI and SKM Power Tools Experience is desirable. Must be an effective problem solver and demonstrate effective use of time and staff and resources. Must know the NEC Code well. This person must have Commercial Office Buildings Design experience in their background, not an industrial background.
