Spanish As A Second Language (SSL) Instructor
Requirements:
The candidate must be able to provide individualized and group instruction in all phases of English as a second language (ESL). Adult Basic Education/General Education Development (ABE/GED) in English and Spanish Curriculum to multi-level, multi-subject and multi-language adult students. The candidate must also have the ability to work with diverse groups of people and communities. The candidate should also have a working knowledge of case management and awareness of community resources. The ability to speak Spanish and English fluently is preferred.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education or Psychology preferred. At least two (2) years experience teaching Literacy and Adult Education

The primary scope for this position is to plan, implement and operate an instructional program structured to meet required attendance, contact hours, retention, progress assessment, demonstration of learning gains, and completion of functional levels within two terms in every operational year of service. This position requires flexibility in the assignment of full/part time schedules, assignment to various sites, and assignment to different subject options as required by programmatic needs
