Job Responsibilities

 

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable network architecture to support online features of upcoming games.
  • Serve as PC and Mobile online games domain expert for online systems.  Provide internal support as needed.
  • Identify and research new technologies for implementation in current and future online systems.
  • Plan deployment of new functionality into a live environment.
  • Create and maintain tools to monitor, manage, and debug all online functionality.
  • Assist in large-scale load testing efforts.
  • Contribute to overall health of systems and architecture by writing high-quality code and documentation.
  • Manage and train a team of network application developers to build online game system projects.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • 5-10 years of professional programming experience, preferably with PHP or related server technologies.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of network programming required, preferably online multi-player programming.
  • Experience designing and implementing client/server or peer-to-peer systems and network protocols.
  • Expertise designing SQL databases, and interfacing with front / back end services.
  • A deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design and code portability.
